I want to get a copy of my credit report and I’d also like to get my credit score – where can I get these from? I heard you don’ have to pay for either – is this true?

You can get your credit report for free from http://www.annualcreditreport.com once per year per credit bureau, for more information have a look at our handy guide.
You can’t get your credit score for free per se, what you can do is sign up for a credit monitoring program. These programs almost always give you your credit scores from the three major agencies, the best bit is that you usually get the first month for free so as long as you cancel in time you won’t have to pay a dime.
